Is anyone here using an S&J linear comp on their 7.62x39 rifle? If so, do you find it changed anything besides the noise, as in handling of the rifle? How do you like it?

I've only tried them on short barreled rifles, definitely made them more pleasant to shoot than an A2 or muzzle brake if only due to the redirection of noise/concussion. I've heard that they're supposed change the recoil impulse by pushing straight back, but to be honest I didn't notice much of a difference in that regard. I think linear comps are good for short barrels or bullpups, but on a standard rifle with a longer barrel honestly I'd just go with a flash hider or something.

Cool, thanks for the answer! I see what you mean I think. Considering I'll hear a shot or two while hunting, having it be less "barky" would be nice, not to mention just in general even with ear pro on. But I was curious if it would alter the recoil that much.
