I saw a while back that North Sylva were importing the 9mm and .45 cal components from S&B.

Yesterday at the Rouge River Arms open house I picked up a box.

First impression was they look awesome, nicely formed bases.

Anyone test drive them yet? Normally I use the 147gr bullets but figure the new gun may work better with something different. I stocked up to test.

They come in a 600 count box for $62.99, but with a 5% discount. They had a fair bit in stock, but I believe North Sylva ship regularly if it's in stock. If The store is out, it shouldn't take long to get more.

bah, to costly. i will stick with custom reloading service and or budget shooter supply. $82 for 1000 berry 124gr bullets.

though if they have a decent selection of gun powder i will check them out. lebaron is best, but never any stock!

Quoted for giggles later on.

I get tighter, more consistant groups with jacketed, compared with plated. Shoot plated for practice/recreation, jacketed in competition. In competition, the increased cost isn't an issue.

Exactamundo.

I have shot and continue to shoot quality plated bullets. Berrys are fairly good. I had good luck with the Frontiers.

That said, the $15-20 price difference is pretty trivial.

As for LeBarons being the best... Sorry, but any potential cost saving is eaten up in time and wasted gas driving to find them out of stock.

Custom Reloading have been awesome to deal with, and I'd buy from them in a heartbeat anything Rouge River don't or won't carry.

When it comes to bullets, the killer is shipping. Having a retail shop that actually have and strive to keep product in stock is a huge savings.

Anyone have a load for them using N320?

I loaded up 100 without re-adjusting my seating die from the 147gr Zero's. They came out at 1.145 which is fine in the Grand Powers. (My 147gr ammo is 1.160)

Viht lists three different 124-125gr jacketed bullets, so I made an educated guess but wondered if anyone had a pet load they had chronographed.

I'd have tested them today, but discovered as I was signing in that Sharon was closed until Wednesday for a CFO inspection.

I'd buy some if I knew where I could get them.
The usual places I buy ammo haven't have 9 mm S&B for some time.

North Sylva is the distributor. If they are getting anything from them, it's pretty painless to add a few boxes of bullets. Make a point to ask.
