Has anyone run into the problem of priming 375 Mag S & B brass? I did some the other day on my RCBS rock chucker with piggy back two system and had all kinds of problems. I eventually full lenght sized/deprimed the brass and then put that brass through my RCBS primer pocket swaging tool. After that I reamer the primer pocket with my Lyman primer pocket cleaner/reamer. I eventually had to hand prime the S& B brass with my Lee hand priming tool. All other brands of brass worked fine on my rock chucker press.

I have run into this problem before with 9mm S & B brass.

I recently bought some S & B 6.5 x 55 loaded ammunition . . . when I reloaded it I also found that the primer pockets were very tight and a bit shallow. It took lots of force on the press handle (Rock Chucker) and I had to uniform the pockets (Whitetail carbide primer pocket uniformer) to get CCI 200s to seat flush.

I find that the S&B brass is very consistant. Since I swage all my 9mm brass, the square edged primer pockets are not a problem.

Yeah, I have this same problem with the 9mm and .45. Since brass for these two calibres are pretty abundant, I just toss them.

Their pistol primer pockets are definitely tighter than US made cases. Not a major problem if you hand prime (just requires a little more pressure) but I find it causes inconsistent primer seating depth on a progressive press.

I had problems with 7.62x54R brass. Like flexing the handle on my press I was pushing so hard type problems.
Wore out a pocket uniformer and ended up re-grinding a drill bit to a flat face. Works much better.
Really good brass other than that, though.
