I am running low on small pistol primers and am looking into buying some S&B. Anyone know if these are as sensitive as Federal since I will be using them on my Lee1000s. I know people still use Federal in Lee presses, I would just rather not. Any kind of review on these primers would be appreciated.

Federal. to my knowledge is the only primer supplier using the older ignition formula which accounts for their primers sensitivity. Not sure if that answers your question or not.

It does help. Just need to know if these primers are reliable now.

Thanks Bob!

i bought 4 k from a gun show, 30$ per k only issue i have is that they dont feed as smoothly from my lee safety prime as the CCI do, if i load more then 50 primers into it they jam up non stop, with 50 or less at a time they still jam but not as often. Theyre cheap so i deal with it

I switched to S&B's after my WSP's ran out. I went through 15k without a single issue.

Same here, went through 5000 with ZERO issues! I like them!

I'd like to buy more!

Are your issues attributable to the primers though, or do you think there might be an issue with your equipment?
