I guess not alot of people know that the Montreal police SWAT team is using the P90.

Which is not the best idea of the century... the 5.7 round is not know to be very effective in stopping power, but excellent for penetration and it's armor-piercing capabilities...

... I don't remember that the police had to face a suspect wearing body armor in montreal recently...

But man, it must be dangerous for the supporting hand and fingers... located two inches below the muzzle !

JTF 2 as well.

The SWAT team should be prepared for anything. Plus, I would think the point of a firearm in the hands of an officer would be to disable the suspect so they may be tried in a court of law. Not to inflict a fatal wound.

once you have to pull the trigger it is 'centre of mass' everytime regardless of caliber or firearm.

More likely to get it in Canada than in the US. I think that ad is bull####. SBRs cannot be imported for sale to civilians, and that's been the case since 1968. And I doubt FN are going to make it domestically in their SC plant.

However, I can't see any reason why it couldn't be legally imported into Canada, other than the mag needing to be restricted to 5 round capacity.

The only way Americans could have that gun is for it to be imported with a 16-inch barrel and then cut down to SBR length and registered as an NFA weapon. And even then I'm not sure, because it uses an LCMM.

OK, so I know that SBR menas short barreled rifle,
and in the US, NFA means National Firearms Act,
but what does LCMM mean?

Agreed, that's why calibre and bullet type are important.

There is no such thing as a "centre of mass" wound that's not intended to be fatal. A .22 'centre of mass' wound is going to fcuk you up! The power of the P90 round is that it can penetrate armour and plates, once it gets into the vital organs as small as it is, its“game over”.
