S&J Hardware .223 Wylde Dimpled Stainless Match Barrels, 14.5" and 18.6"

TNA is now a dealer and distributor for the S&J Hardware .223 Wylde Dimpled Stainless Match AR-15 Barrel. These quality target-shooter-oriented barrels will go nicely in any AR or SLR build. You can expect an accuracy of 0.75-1 MOA or better with decent ammo. The dimpled cutouts are an interesting alternative to fluting (better aerodynamics too).

Lots in stock as of April 15.

  • Length: 14.5" or 18.6"
  • Chamber: .223 Wylde which is optimized for .223 Rem and 5.56x45 ammo
  • 1:8" twist rate
  • Button rifled bore, hand lapped and polished
  • Profile is approx 0.85" under the handguard, 0.73" between the gas block and muzzle
  • 416R Stainless Steel
  • Uses a 11.75" Midlength gas tube
  • For 0.75" gas blocks
  • 1/2"-28 threading for muzzle devices
  • 'Recessed target' style crown
  • Satin finish
  • Weight: 835g (14.5"), 1.1kg (18.6")

Do you happen to know the weight of the grendel barrels?

I reckon it'll be 32 grams lighter than the 223 wylde barrel due to the bigger bore so maybe 870grams

WAIT no that's wrong because I recall Ryan at MRA saying it'll be 20" instead of 18.6". So maybe it'll be 935 ish grams

Honest question here:

Is there any pros or cons to these dimpled barrel or is it just cosmetic ?

structurally more stable then fluting ,as you are not machining long deep flutes in the barrel.
Offering the same stiffness as a heavy barrel offering almost the same weight loss as a fluted bbl.
