S&J Hardware ambi QD sling plate and Remington stock screw thread size

Hey guys , i bought a ambi qd sling plate for a remington shotgun build , i'm trying to put it between the reciever and a pistol grip with no luck. The origional pistol grip screw looks to be too short by about half an inch. It is a remington express reciever , does anyone know the thread size of the pistol grip/ stock screws so i can find another one ? Also there is a larger than normal gap as the pistol grip deosn't fit over the lip of the ambi swivel plate. Is there another pistol grip you can reccommend for this build that will not have a gap ? Are these ambi plates supposed to be used with a full stock , and not pistol grips ? thanks for any help.

there is always going to be a 1/4" gap due to the thickness of the sling plate.

you sure youre not installing it backwards?
stock bolts should have more than enough thread engagement to accomodate an extra 1/4".

there is a flat part that is facing the stock , and the machined lip fits perfect so it looks good to me ? it only looks like there is one way to do it.

the gap is larger than the picture above, just to be sure i'll try it the other way.

UPDATE !! yup nevermind it was backwards lol for anyone looking at this thread the flat side has to face towards the reciever and barrel assembly.
