Answer to rotncore's question: It mounts using the front cap and into a drilled & tapped receiver. Since the receiver on my Norc isn't drilled and tapped, looks like I'm gonna have to stick with my Mesa Tac Picatinny Rail Mount. Too bad.

It take the 4 hole patten factory scope mount holes for remington and mossberg. The front plate. It held on by the mag cap.
The rails come allmost flush with a 12.5 inch bbl. But of course can be used on any barrel length
