Hi All,
I'm just wondering if anyone else has had problems with S&J Hardware's shipping? I placed an order and paid for it with (FRAUD ALERT) on Aug.7/08. It wasn't shipped till Aug.13/08 even though I had been told it would be sent by Aug.11 latest! I did not hear from S&J till I contacted them on Aug.25th to find out where my order was. It took 2 days for Simon to even bother to get back to me and after a couple of requests he finally sent me the Tracking# which showed that the package had been sent back to S&J as the address was wrong! The package was returned to S&J on Sept.02. He then requested my address again as he couldn't read what was on the package as the post office had covered it with a label, thank goodness. I sent that to him on Sept.03. If he had been able to see the original address, probably wrong, he was going to just copy it and resend the package to the wrong address! I sent another e-mail on Sept.04 asking if he got my address and was my order resent yet. HE JUST BOTHERED TO REPLY TODAY, SEPT.10. It was finally remailed to me on Sept.09, one week after it was returned to S&J. UNBELIEVABLY POOR SERVICE. I hope it gets to me this time and believe me when I say I will never deal with these clowns again.

Well, eventually Simon had to have a pissed off customer. Bask in the glory. You stand alone among hundreds of satisfied customers.

we have emailed many times in the last few weeks.
Sorry i dont have a laptop straped to myarm to emailed back to you the 25times you emailed me.
We do the best we can with what time we have.
Just so its understood, i have had your item 4 days as there has beena stat holiday and the post offices is closed.
your items have been shipped expdited back to you yesterday, but you know this befor you posted your thread.
Sorry you are not happy with your service, but at least we will know you will be happy with your products.
 
I found that with pay pal, sometimes it takes a couple of days to go through/clear. I had no problem with S&J, but I have to admit that Simon's response to e-mail can be a little lacking. Hopefully his business will grow and he can hire more staff to answer messages. Overall I was happy with the products he sells. However, you did get the stuff you ordered.

My experience with S&J was great all e-mails answered quickly and tracking# and confirmation was fast also came by x-post as it should thi s was my first time ever ordering online and paying by EMT.

I have dealt with s&j many times now. They are obviously busy. That said, they are not a huge distributor with tons of employees to deal with customer service, mail etc. This is in many ways an advantage for you the customer as those expenses are not passed on to you in marked up prices.

I have dealt with many many screw ups with both UPS and Canada post, often tracking #'s aren't in the system till after product is received. That is out of their hands and not anybodies fault but the mail.

I would support what was previously stated, that s&j has many satisfied customers. I would give them the benefit of the doubt on this one.

Actually I don't have the stuff I ordered yet as it was just shipped yesterday.

Funny how quick you reply here but not in e-mails to your customers. According to the PO you have had my package since Sept.02, the day after the long weekend and in my books Sept.02-Sept.09 is 7 days not 4. I only sent you a few e-mails and most of those were repeats as I couldn't get a reply. With the speed of your responses I would guess your laptop is up your A** not straped to your arm. I stated only FACTS, not BS.

fact is I only had you package 4 days before i sent it back to you.
The reason i have got back to you hear faster then email is , this is my down time, thisis where i hang out. as a founding member of CGN i,m hear alot.
my work is from 8-8 for the S&J hardware items.
Once again i,m sorry your not happy with your service, it has been a bad mix of can post F*** ups, long weekend and busy times.
why dont we all chill and think about the bigger issues like the libs and the fact thay want to take all our guns away.

I've dealt with Simon and I think his 239 trader ratings with a 99.2% positive feedback speaks for itself.

My deal went a little long due to miscommunication on MY end and Simon was very accommodating regardless!

Try ordering from the US. Months of waiting for approval for a long list of parts, 10 days min. for anything, duties, brokerage fees and days waiting for customs to determine it's a gun part and not a gun. Bottom line: get over it.
 
You know what, chill out. Your package is coming - he apologized for the delay and he'll do his best to make sure it doesn't happen again. Simon produces excellent products and runs the company, as well as working a full time job and trying to live a normal life. He's on Nutz 'cause he likes guns, just like the rest of us here, not becuase he is trying to become a millionaire.

I have dealt with Simon many times, and he always does what he says. Just take a few minutes to enjoy life - your parts will show up and you'll be happy. If you spend half as much emotion writing letters to newspapers exposing Liberals for what they really are, we'd all be much further ahead at the end of the day.

I have dealt with Simon and he is a man of his word who will take any extra steps necessary to satisfy a customer. Nobody is perfect, by any means, but Simon is quick to solve problems as soon as he is i) aware of them and ii) able to fix them properly. Canada Post is not run by Simon. (Some days, we're not sure Canada Post is run by anyone, really!)

I will deal with Simon again as he delivers quality product for a fair price that is not the run-of-the-mill cheap junk. If you're in a rush and don't care what you are getting as long as it's fast, go to Canadian Tire or Walmart for your stuff. Or choose MacDonald's instead of a quality restaurant with a busy chef. But don't ##### to me because your cheeseburger tastes like cheap Chinese plastic!

Thanks guys i,m touched, but i will admit i need to get back to people faster, 200 + emails a week is alot to deal with.
Eather way we @ S&J hardware hope to bring good kit to canadain shooters.

I have confidence in Simon. He answered my enquiries (more than one) in timely fashion (actually same day - that is not always possibe when running a business but somehow he did it). I placing an order right now. Simon, sorry I'm the one who is being late in getting back to YOU. :redface:
