S & W 1006, 1076, 4006, 4046, 5006 classification?

I'm having an hard time finding those models stated above(full metal frame semi-auto).
And then it came to my mind.., are they prohibited? Looks like a standard pistol from the images I've seen however.

There were a few 4006's that were registered as restricted because their barrels were over 105mm. There was one for sale in the EE a little while back. It's a crap shoot though, like 4" K frames that are just over the limit. They're out there, but not many of them. - dan

I've seen a restricted 4006 at my local club going for 500$.

Your thread got me looking at these pistols and I ended up picking a 4006 up:

Fairly rare guns - I'd love either a 1076 or a 4576, but there just aren't many out there.

Put 150 rounds through the 4006 today. Won me over pretty quick. A little chunky but accurate and no failures even with the cheap stuff.

The 4006 was the first handgun specifically designed for the 40 S&W cartridge, it is not just a similar 9mm like the 5906 converted to 40 S&W like other manufacturers did. It is chunky for sure.

For sure Dan. 5906 on the left, 4006 on the right, big difference in the thickness of the frame.

I'd really love to get my hands on a 5906 model, they look pretty nice to me.
