Did a search and I cannot find any info.
I am looking at getting a performance centre 1911 scandium frame round butt.

Has anyone tried one or are there any owner feed back ?

I was looking at a Ed Brown kobra carry but for that price I could get 2-3 other nice 1911's !!!

Any info would be greatly appreciated

Scandium framed guns are meant to be carried alot and shot little (think CCW). I'd suggest getting a steel framed gun instead if you plan on shooting alot.

Ya must not be too many out there.
I plan on it being my prized 1911. Shown off lots but shot very little.
It's between this and a kobra carry !!

I have a S&W 1911 sc E series. Only 45acp I own and I really like it. It's a beautiful gun and very accurate. I haven't read anything about any durability issues and doubt very much that it was designed to be carried but not shot.

I own one, I was looking for a nice mid - range 1911 to replace my ruger. After 300 rounds it has been flawless, fantastic pistol and looks pretty good too.

I had one and sold it. Very light gun intend end for CCW. I heard that aluminium/scandium frames are subject to early failures. This little gun kick very hard......

Overall it's a very ###y gun, but not a fun or pratical gun.

I noticed that some retailers tends to sell them for 1499$. They can be found for 1295$ Tx in. new when in stock.$

I have a Smith 1911 E series in stainless. I simply love it. Beautiful and very reliable and an accurate shooter. It is also less pricey than the scandium frame but essentially I think the same gun.
