A really, really cherry 1917 (not a Brazilian, nor a shooter, no mods, next to no wear, commercial over military) will bring $700 to 800. A little more if you have the original box. - dan

Brand new one is about 1100-1200
Gun trading is like two fools running a marathon with thier pants around thier ankles(no good is ever gonna come from it)but it's fun to watch!
Indiana Jones guns are just plane cool,so this fellow said he had a 97 % 1917 with lanyard rig,Textan 1942 leather rig ,Manual,moon clip three round
pouch that he wants to sell for 1600 to buy a war era 1911A.
I show him (pics) of my 1945 Rem Rand,black houlster,green ammo belt ,1911 ammo pouch and he is in love!
We trade and this is one of those times when both parties are extremly pleased!
And I got the Indiana Jones (prestine 85%)revolver!!! Whoot

I just paid $500.00 for one in 95% condition with original WW1 era holster and sam browne, also in great condition....plus great provenance which I can trace back to a particular Captain in the armoured corps WW2. Saying that...the guy I bought it from was having a dickens of a time trying to sell it here as everyone else was trying to cheap out. I got a bargain! Just run a search in the EE Pistol forum to see who has had one for sale which didn't sell and make a reasonable offer.
Well DANTFORTH you know there are so many hoops that one has to jump through just to get a firearm or even firearm related gear across the lines to here that it's just not worth the expense or time.
I would have to be very wealthy just to be able to afford to get the forms together just to buy a .22 Cooey !
So me searching the EE would only make more envious of you Gun Nuts,I would only hope that some day we Americans could get a real leader that could break down the stupid and idiotic laws that seperate two Nations that are allies (and allways have been against World oppression)our borders should be open with consenting gun laws!
But enough Good for you I love mine,I'm looking for a Colt 1917 now(I have a 1911 comercial made in 1917 )and would like another 45acp.
Every thing we buy here cost about 3/4 more than you pay,the pistol you bought would go for about 900 here!
