Okay, this may be a little bit obscure, but here's what I want to know...
I have a S&W 1917 45ACP revolver [actually a 1937 Brazilian contract gun]. The barrel is good as it is, but I've been thinking about putting a new modified barrel on it [shortened, modern front sight]. On the Tradex site, I see some Mod. 1950 barrels that _look_ just like the one on my revolver. http://www.tradeexcanada.com/content/sw-model-1950-barrels-45-acp. I am considering replacing the stock barrel with one of these, suitably modified.
Question: Does anybody know for sure if these 1950 barrels will fit on my 1917 revolver?
[edit: That should be the _1937_ Brazilian contract.....]
