I couldn't find such topic using search, so it looks like it makes sence to create a new one.
Bought one from Prairie Gun Traiders about two weeks ago (online), and it arrived today! I've read many stories about BC CFO and typical waiting times for transfers, so I was extremely surprised to get it so soon.
This is one of the most beautiful pistols I've ever seen. Can't believe I paid just $400 (before tax) including shipping. In our local stores regular 22a goes for $370-$390, and they come with 2 magazines and plastic grip. Talo edition comes with 3 magazines and amazingly beautiful laminate grip (maybe even too beautiful to use it regularly), fluted barrel and metal trigger.
In many reviews people say that grip is super fat. I am not a big person and my hands are not big, but grip doesn't feel too big for me. Index finger touches the trigger exactly in a way it should. I can't say it's very comfortable for me, but it's definitely way more comfortable than Buckmark Camper or Ruger Mark II (not sure about Ruger 22/45). However, there is one bad thing about the grip, which is hopefully easy to fix, but very annoying. There is slight movement of grip (very slight, but noticable) even though it's fully fixed with screws. It really spoils the whole impression of this solid made gun, so I am going to fix it ASAP.
The safety is extremely stiff. It looks like it was not intended for use
and just created as a part of requirements.
I haven't shoot this gun yet and not sure when I'll have opportunity to shoot it (too much work, too far away from a range), but I don't think this gun is any different than regular 22a in accuracy. Open sights are very good, it's hard to imagine how they can be better, and I am not going to install any additional sights (I realy love how it looks like now, without any additions, and I am sure it will perform well without any additions or changes).
Here are couple bad photos of this beautiful gun right out the box.
I will try to make better photos when I have more time.
