S&w 41

Hi fellow nutters , anybody have exp with a 41 equiped with a Clark bullseye optic barrel [ CLK-570-BO ] x 5.5"

I've recently acquired a S&W model 41 with a 5 1/2" bbl,

this is actually the 2nd 41 I've had. the 1st 'looked' the same as my recent purchase, but it had an extendable front sight. Selling that one wasn't one of my better deals.

It wasn't mine but I had the occasion to shoot a 1911 Clark long slide 45 ACP years back so I'm curious, what is this sight you've mentioned for the S&W 41??

The 41 is a great gun I have one from the first years' production with all 3 barrels and really like it... Mine does seem to be pretty picky about what it is fed, it doesn't run reliably on very much of the bulk box fodder...

I don't have any experience with the Clark optics barrel, although I have seen them and they look good... I would have a hard time believing that one would be dissatisfied with anything with the Clark name on it...

#2 it's a complete barrel , no iron sights , with a rail mach'd in . #3 that is my feeling as well , i've got some 1911's with clark barrels that hold 1.25" @ 25yds . i got my 41 in the late 60's , so i thought is was time to give her a little treat , plus i'm starting to see the benif to a red dot .

Thanks for the info update nada. The 41 has always had a special significance for me so it wasn't hard to talk me into the one I posted the photo of previously. In addition, and another of the four recent .22 acquisitions that I'm rapidly becoming vvvvvvvvvvery fond of is an older model Colt Woodsman Match Target.

Not having any 'Ford-Chev' preference, the Colt is also a keeper.
