ok so i just discovered this pistol., as i was looking up the 1066
im very very new to smith and wessons are there any of these in canada ?
i know they arent made anymore, have they ever been here ?
anyone want to chime in on this pistol ?

btw its a 4.25inch barrel 45acp 8shot mag

also the 4566 has factory night sights.... I had one of the original ones in two tone colour that was special done for davidsons.... wish I had kept it.

great guns and takes the same magazine as the 4506

I almost bought one from Lever... back when they had more than just Norinco stuff for sale... Nice looking guns, and I'm certainly happy with the 5946 of the same era that I am given at work. Another one of those "I should have bought one"...

which one was in the EE ? the 4506 or a 4566 ,,, ya ive held a 4506 .too long for me, feels like a hk mk23 or a deagle. and ive fired a i think it was a 40cal of the 4000 series but it was a prohib (same one the rcmp have but in 40) and i really liked it but i knew we couldnt get it up here without the extended barrels. which im not a huge fan of. so the fact that i came by this 4566 model with the 4.25inch barrel. i fell in love. also been looking for a 1066., same thing but in 10mm .. ive never even fired or seen a 10mm . so it would be something new to the collection. im sorta down for either infact both would be a nice addition . however i think its finding one is going to be the hard part.

but ya for me 4506..with the 5inch barrel is a bit too much for me.,

but i wasnt sure if the 4566 was even ever brought into canada that was my major question .because if they werent, i guess my only real option then would have questar bring me in one . but at 750 for an import . or i should say 750 for 2.. id have to find another pistol im looking for that cant be found here. and also the extra $$$...

btw on a side note what are some good USA websites i should be looking at for finding used guns( if i was to use questar) like gunbroker ?

nope,, 4566 - first 2 digits = caliber unless 9mm where theres diff frames as well
3rd digit = trigger type and frame size
4th digit = frame material 6 = steel 3 = alloy all had stainless slides

put it this way the 1066 is the exact same size and identical gun but in 10mm
