We had a great day at the range, S1nnerman and myself...

We made a couple small videos, one shoothing the S&W 460 and one shooting the SRH Toklat 454 Casull...

Both were shot with the same ammo the XTP 300 gr JHP Hornady 454 Casull, specs for this ammo is 1650 fps /1813 fp of energy...

The S&W du to the brake have a smoother recoil, accuracy was equal in both revolvers...
Those big revolvers are a ton of fun to shoot and a handfull...
Hopefully some other nice days at the range with S1nnerman... JP.

yeah Man !!!!!!

2 amazing revolvers with one powerful round :)

I must admit, I much prefer the 460 S&W.

Caramel, what we should do is shoot the 454, 460 and 500 into ballistic gel and look at penetration

That is a great idea, i would be willing to buy some and set this up for all those dandy calibers... You are on S1nnerman, that should be interresting... JP.:)

im disappointed you guys didn't dip into some 460 loads.
i found the 454 to be nothing after shooting full load 460.

if you havnt yet get a variety of 460 loads and make afternoon of it, its a mind blowing round!

Agreed. While the .454 is nothing to laugh at, as it is indeed a powerful load, the .460S&W is simply mind blowing. Even the .500S&W does not snap like the .460!

Given the 454 SRH is almost a pound lighter than the 5" 460, I bet it will kicks just as hard or harder than a Smith loaded with proper 460.
