.460S&W casings are long at 1.8 inch length. But .410 shot shells are longer at 2.5" even for the shortest versions. So unless you use a hammer the .410 shells will not fit into the 460's cylinder. They'll hit the shoulder transition to the chamber throat with at least a half inch of shell sticking out the rear.
Which makes me wonder how in hell the Taurus Judge can shoot both .45Colt and .410 shells. To allow seating the shells the bullet from the 45Colt has to fly through almost a whole inch worth of chamber totally unsupported. During that time the bullet has gases flowing around it and the chances for hitting the throat or forcing cone at a hell of an angle is high. Makes me wonder if they shoot bullets at all accurately.
