S&W 500 5 Shots in a second.

I doubt too many folks on here could duplicate the same results on target. Keep in mind he is using a 4 inch bbl, not the 8 and 3/8 or 6.5 inch thats available in Canada.

What he did could well be possible. There are now and have been individuals around, that have some pretty amazing skills and abilities with a handgun. People like Bob Munden and his predecessor Ed McGivern, just to name a few. Jerry may well be another such person but being fairly well acquainted with the recoil effects of full house loads in the 500, I'd like to actually see the performance to be truly convinced.

Miculek isn't even human, just as the late Bob Minden was not.

I enjoy watching the macho men shoot their .460's and.500's. A couple of cylinder loads and they've had a day of it.

All the old time gun writers have bad hands in their dotage and need to wear shooting gloves to handle any amount of recoil now. That's a high price to pay for having the biggest bang on the range.

I hope not! I shoot 50 per visit. Although once I get my new spire point mold I'm gonna load up alot of trail boss loads and actually try being accurate with the gun.

Could possibly be, but checking Jerrys video clip, I didn't notice him wearing gloves. In any of Bob Munden video clips I've seen, the only time I've noticed him wearing a glove is a leather glove on his left hand and that's for protection as he fans the the hammer on one of his single actions. Protection from the hammer contact, nothing to do with recoil. A couple of old time handgun writers of note, Jeff Cooper, Ed McGivern and Elmer Keith

I don't see the use of gloves in photos or mention of the use of gloves as protection from recoil in their books either, unless it was cold outside at the time.

Yikes! I'd like to find out how he grips it.

Interesting. After the hammerbite he states that he needs to change his grip, and if you notice in the slowmo his right thumb is curled behind the cylinder on the right side of the gun. I could be wrong, but it seems as though he wants a very high grip (too high for his thumb to be behind) so he relies on the palm of the right hand to absorb recoil and the left hand placed where it is controls muzzle flip. Very cool.
