Welcome to CGN.

If you've shot some handguns and found that you enjoy revolvers then a 586 would be an excellent option. Some of the crusty old souls prefer the older more classic S&W options but if you're looking at new and don't want the stainless look then a 586 is a great way to go.

Welcome and don't listen to the negative comment here.

Perhaps our new member is not well versed in English? He/She likes Guns/Pistols and S&W ...That is good enough for me.

4RON they are nice, ask the owner, a few questions, like how many rounds thru it! any mods done to it?( trigger job. etc) any issues with it? is the timing good, does it lock-up tight?

Sorry. I didn't mean to sound negative. Just wasn't sure if he was looking for advice or asking if anyone had one for sale.

It's a great firearm. My wife kinda wanted the 686 and fell in love with the 586. Funny is she normaly gets the stainless but I have to admit the blued is just tough looking. It's 6" barrel makes it a dream to shoot all loads.

If I could get a 686 or a 586 at the budget I have I would definitely get one. They are a sweet revolver. I do like my Dan Wesson .357 as well.

The other wheel gun I get a hard on for is a Python, but they're Waaaay out of my price range.
