S&W 5946 Vs STI Ranger Vs Glock 17

Thanks for all who helped out in making a choice. I ended up going with a CZ SP-01 Shadow. I've heard good things about it and even though its not a 1911, I have to say she's a pretty ###y peice. She will make a very nice addition to my collection. After I'm used to competing, I'll splurge and get either a .40 or .45 high end STI, Kimber or Springfield and go into standard division. I already have a few 1911 to keep me happy until I can get one.

Cheers :)

Im torn, between these models, your help is needed !!!:runaway:

S&W 5946 9mm
STI Ranger II 9mm
Glock 17 9mm

Ive read and read and read, what I need is people who shot these babies to chime in and tell me how it is and to slap some sense into me because if i keep going back and forth much longer, i think i might go insane :runaway:

Thanks in advance

It's obvious you need both a 1911 style and one of the "other". Even I want a Glock and I don't even like them!, proving that insanity runs in the (shooting) family.

All these type of threads have a common thread (pun intended;) ).
This vs. Glock
That vs. Glock
The other thing vs. Glock
If Glock is the standard to which all other guns are compared...
BUY THE GLOCK!! :D

...... if you want something that is competitive for IPSC, none of your choices are particularly competitive......

I beg your pardon? The IPSC Canada National Production Champions for 2002, 2004 and 2006 all shot Glocks. (2003 was a Beretta and 2005 was a CZ) I'd say that's pretty competitive.......
