This a beauty, but esthetic is not that important for me, what really impressed me is the trigger, in DA i would say around 7.5 pounds to 8 pounds... But in SA it is between 1.5 and 2 pounds, super smooth, it break like a piece of glass, will get my Stoney Point to mesure it, when i go back to the farm... This is a very smooth revolver, the grip is high and solid, it will be fun to shoot and id'e bet it will be very accurate... JP.

Love mine!

I have all the same, except for the M29. I have a classic M27 coming next week however, so if we lined them all up, you'd think we had the same collection by the looks of it. I put my 627 wood grips on my 4.2" 629, then bought some N frame Hogue cocobolo target grips for the 627. What I really need is two of the 627 wood grips.

Looks like great collection however! I feel like I am just getting started as well. I need the classic M29 in .44 mag next, just like yours because the S&W .44 magnum PC guns look awful.

Please note, the 627 from the PC factory in DA is 13+ lbs, I have his and hers, and several of my friends and we all had to change springs.

I will check it with my Stoney Point when i bring back from the farm, it feel a more like 7 or 8 pounds, it is a lot more light than my 3 others, i will see and post back... JP.

I was thinking the same thing. If you like revolvers you should really try a Python they are in a class by themselves.

Really nice collection Caramel!!

I'm definetly a revolver guy!
Here's my Python. #1 on never sell list!!

Gorgeous... JP.

The thing about my 627PC that I love is that I only shoot it in Double action. There is no way that it has a 13# pull on mine. I am not saying that it's impossible because I don't have a tool to measure it, but it is so much smoother and lighter than a GP100 for sure. I am surprised that some had to go as far as changing the springs. Now, there is a model "627 Pro Series" that is not a PC model that you may be confusing with the performance center trigger job.

It's a good book, perfect for somebody new to revolvers; he explains how to make sure the revolver/grips fit the hand, how to hold it, how to shot in DA, as well as maintemance, holster, speed reloading, etc. He focuses more on defensive aspects rather than competition/target shooting thou.

You can order it from amazon.ca

Sweet revolvers. How do you like that Grant Cunningham book? I was thinking of ordering a copy.

Thanks. I read his stuff online and have been wanting to check out his books. I think I may have to add this to the collection.

While you're at it get "The S&W revolver, a shop manual" by Jerry Kuhnhausen (Brownells)
Being able to strip one right down, work on it and fine tune it is fun as hell.

Amazing book
