S&w 629 4.2''

Had the new 629 side by side with a 5.5 Redhawk, and went with the Redhawk, even though the smith's trigger was way better. The new 629 doesn't hold a candle to my 629 SNUB:evil:, or my 624 SNUB in 44 Special:dancingbanana::dancingbanana:. Now I think a Henry lever gun in 44 mag is in order to round it out

Looks great!

I agree that is the way they should look. Graydog

Why thank you, good sirs. Certainly not as concealable as the 4.2", but not like we have to worry about that anyway in Canada.

Less of a mountain gun I guess, for those of you lucky enough to work away from the concrete jungle.

Mine will remain a Restricted-ATT range queen, though, firing a few cylinders at the end of every range day to put a smile on my face before packing up.

Go ahead, rub it in. Lol.

Nice trio

I just bought one,

Grip is surprisingly good to me, recoil was not nearly as bad as I expected. It feels great in the hand. I have used/had other grips and smiths to compare.

The bad....

revolver locked up repeatedly after 20-30 factory rounds. Firing pin bushing is bad. The primers are pressed concave and catching on the peen. Pretty disappointed..... I waited a year to buy this one
