S&W 629 Mountain Revolver

Here`s a pretty rare one that I thought would be of interest to some of you S&W revolver buffs. This is a S&W 629 Mountain Revolver, one of 5,000 guns produced in 1989. I added the Hogue grips with silver S&W medallions, otherwise it is completely original.I don`t think a lot of them found their way into Canada.

One of my holy grails there, unfortunately almost all of them were 4" (heard mention of a 6" versions a few times) and without a Prohib license it's a dream

I am slightly consoled by the fact that I have a 625,

but yours is still a very nice piece.

The "black powder" chamfer on the front edge of the cylinder is a classy touch.

Since I'm not 12(6) grandfathered, I'll just have to console myself with my custom 5" Model 29-3:

What a nice looking gun. I remember reading a Guns & Ammo article on the SW mountain revolver when I was just a kid.
