I bought a S&W 686 6" revolver with the L frame. I am looking at replacing the oem grip with something bigger. Does anyone have any suggestions? Looking mainly at a rubber grip at the moment.

Thanks in advance

Hogue X-Frame fits all K,L,N frame guns and are much larger than the regular grips.

I have them on my 686 and it makes a huge difference.

I put rubber Pachmayers on mine years ago and loved them, but remember all rubber grips trap moisture so be careful to occasionally oil the frame under the grip. I had a 686 safe queen The I left for 4 years that developed rust spots under the grips. Gerry

New Pachmayers are by far the biggest POS ever made, which is sad as they use to make good grips.

I bought a pair and the screw ripped right though the grip when installing.

Good choice, Hogue is a great product. On my latest 686 I dressed it up with the hogue finger groove wood grips and they are surprisingly comfortable and look fantastic. All of the rubber grips I have used have been good as well.
