Hello all!
Wondering if anyone knows if there is/will be a S&W Plus (7 shot) in the "Canadian Edition" 4.2" barrel? So far I have only found the 6 rounders...any dealers here that can answer if some are ever expected? I, and many others I'm sure, would LOVE to see this gun north of the border. Thanks for any input.

What is your intended purpose for it? 7-rounder gives you far less speedloader options and bumps you out of most action shooting. If it's just for playing at the range, find a 5''

Mine's not for sale ;)

I was also looking for one of these but still have yet to ever hear of one in existence... I ended up buying the regular six shot 4.2" 686 and couldn't be happier with it!

If your dead set on a 4.2" 686 that's a 7 shot you might be able to have a gunsmith adjust the timing on a regular 686 to function with a 7 shot cylinder, but that would probably end up being far more expensive than its worth...

Unless S&W decides to make a batch of "Canadian Edition" 686 Plus's at some point in the future, you might have to settle with a regular 686 4.2", or a longer barreled 686 Plus

I love my S&W 686p , I did not had any trouble to find speedloader for it.

Mine is the 686p Deluxe 6inch. (wood handle), very nice gun (and there is another available at the local store....)

What I like about the 7 rounds is that the holes for the latch of each round are not align with each chamber where the metal is thinner...unlike the regular 6 shots.

If you are set on a 4.2 barrel then just buy the 5 inch model and pay a good smith to shorten the barrel. Would not be a big job for a good smith and you would have your gun without waiting to see if S&W ever makes one or not.
