S&W 929 front sight

Hey All,

Just got my hands on a new 929.

I would like to change the front post out with a fiber optic one but I cant see to find a dealer that stocks one for that model. Anyone have any leads? I imagine there are a few 929 owners out there.

Always got my sights directly from HiViz: SW1002

I guess this is where I am getting confused.

the SW1002 says "excluding Classic Series, and Performance Center guns". Is the 929 not a PC gun?

Can anyone confirm that I can indeed use this model on my boom stick?

S&W has pinned front sights and interchangeable front sights (on the PC guns). If the pin is in the middle of the sight, you need to drift it out and drill a hole in the replacement sight. The interchangeable ones have the pin more towards the front and you remove the sight by pushing back - then it will pop out. The HiViz sight for this style is sw3000.
