S&W Cardboard box collectors?

Gentleman,

I recently bought a S&W 41 and was looking on ebay for new grips. I found this item for sale. It is the exact same carboard box that mine came in and it is selling for $92....

Do people collect S&W cardboard boxes or something? I am really confused on this one.

Any thoughts?

Yes they do ! I have bought several pistol box's on ebay but would never pay that much . all the ones I got went for around $20.00 . Nice to have a original box for a gun . Wile some don't care about the box .

If your box is original to your gun with matching ser # you might want to keep it . Will make you gun worth more if & when you want to sell it .
