I hadn't read about that, but the market for 5 inches 625 in the states is really low, That is an excellent combination for bowling pin competition, but there is no more of that style of shooting and IDPA competition limited the revolvers division to a maximum of 4 inch barrel. So demand dictates to S&W to drop the 5 inchers, but we will still see them once in a while when they will have enough demand to manufacture a limited edition, but prpared yourself to pay a steeper price
