S&W introduces an AR

It's not a bad business move for S&W. Why be innovative when they're selling something that already sells by itself?

I'll stick with the more reputable AR manufacturers though, thanks.

It's CMT/TroyRail/ShawBarrel. I'd pay less for the same components/rifle elsewhere, but there's nothing un-reputable about the S&W rifle. Price is high, but they can justify it with their 'famous name brand'.

Maybe you people missed this gun:

American gun manufacturers just rehash the same garbage over and over. They have no new innovation whatsoever.

BTW the AR's are probably subcontracted by some other AR manufacturer. There is barely 1 us gun company that makes everything they sell. Its all about name.

I remember reading somewhere that S&W has become the best selling 1911 in the U.S. Wouldn't be surprised if M&P15 became the best selling AR. Can't really blame S&W for wanting to make money by building something that's guaranteed to sell well.
