S&W M-1917 .45 ACP value?

A member at our gun club has asked for help in finding out information about the possible value one of his guns. It`s a S&W revolver mod-1917 in .45 ACP. The Brazilian coat of arms and the year 1937 are stamped on the right side. Overall condition is fair to good with some scratches, some worn blue and revarnished grips. Shoots very well.

Can anyone come up with a ballpark estimate on the value of this gun?

3rd Catalog of S&W value Good $475.00 fair $375.00 . We dont see those really often,but shooter ones like yours dont have more value.

$400-$450 would be a fair price....desireable caliber, not so common pistol.

Last one I sold went for $350 if memory serves, but I would add $50 to that now days. - dan

The original S&W 1917 goes for a lot more here,and the Brazilion gets about 400.00 here. And all original 1917 90% will get around 700-900 here!
