S&W M&P 15-22 Magazine question

I'll also say that the 15-22 does will fit other AR15-22 mag's with modification. As a the AR15-22 conversion mags are intended for another rifle and won't fit the 15-22 without modification they are also not limited to the 10 round capacity limit, as even after modification for the 15-22 they will still fit a regular AR15 with .22 conversion. I find that these mags even feed better then the manufactures mags

This is very interesting. When I bought my BD drum from Questar I ordered the 10-22 drum and the 15-22 tower adapter. They said that the tower adapter was a modified AR22 model. So then, you are saying, it should be possible to modify a BD 25 round mag to fit the 15-22. Have you actually done this? If so can you post modification instructions?
Thanks

I THINK you just need to run a band saw down the back of them so they fit into the M&P mag well. I could be wrong though. Interested to hear myself how this works.

Does anyone have a Canadaian source for the Plinker Tactical 35 Round Magazine?
Thanks

Since they have to be pinned to 10 rounds, I don't think anyone is bothering to import them (see post number 11). You may want to check with Hi-Cal, to confirm this, as they were intending to import them originally.

However it may be possible to modify a 25 round Black Dog mag to work. The BD 50 round drum for the S&W is just an AR drum with a chunk machine off the front so that it fits in the S&W mag well. The S&W mags actually fit (loosely) in an AR-15 mag well and function just fine (with a .22 convertion kit). I have a damaged BD 25 round mag and I intend to try this out. I will report back if it works.
