S&W M&P 15-22 Photo Thread

I just wanted to say thanks to SaskPLCguy for recommending the Black Dog 50 round drum mag. I ordered mine from Questar last week and took it to the range today. I ran thru 5 full mags (250 rounds total) without a single hiccup. Did I mention that 10 round mags suck?

Finally got to pick mine up yesterday. I can't wait to enjoy this thing. I have a few accessories on the way so I'll post a pic once it's put together.

Tried several sources to find out if the tube is commercial or milspec for the stock but have had no luck. Tom E Gun mentioned he had heard that in a Nutnfancy video he said it was milspec but can anyone confirm this? Maybe I'll email S&W or Magpul....

Also these 50 Rd drums from Questar...I found two on the site, one for a 10/22 and they other is a AR .22 mag but it says in the description it doesn't work for the 15-22. Is this the one that you guys have used with good results?

You need to buy TWO parts from Questar, the drum (either 10/22 or AR .22), and the M&P15-22 tower adapter. When you get the drum, remove the 10/22 or AR tower adapter and install the M&P one.

Then buy lots of bulk Federal rounds, because you're going to go through them about 5 times as fast. :D

It's milspec diameter!

Same site also has the set screw adapters in case your barrel is not threaded. Then you can buy any 1/2x28TPI flash hider from the nice advertisers at the top of this page, and screw it on. I'm using the NEA Hybrid flash hider at the moment.

Be sure to use BLUE Loctite on the set screw, the vibration of the barrel will back the screw out.
