I happened to come across this thread a while ago:

10-22-Trigger

Several people highly recommended a company called Brimstone Gunsmithing (in Wa, USA) for good quality affordable 10-22 trigger upgrades. When I checked the website I saw that Brimstone also offers AR trigger jobs. Unfortunately for those of us in Canada they require the entire AR lower be shipped to them. Obviously this is not a very practical option for Canadian AR owners. I sent an e-mail to them and was surprised to get a very quick response. At my request they have added a new AR trigger package that includes new polished and tuned trigger parts and new JP springs. The good news is that the package is under $100 and they WILL ship to Canada:D

David at Brimstone has also promised to put together a Youtube video to cover the disassembly of the trigger and installation of the new parts. I have ordered the package and will post the results when I get it installed.

That's a cool response and it's great to see them offering a version for us up here. I dropped an RRA National Match 2 stage into mine, and while it works great it's also quite a bit more loot than your option.

Looking forward to your review. :)

I did some research on the S&W Performance Centre model, it also uses the RRA trigger. I found the RRA trigger for $122 at Brownells, but assumed they could not ship to Canada since it is over the $100 limit. The Brimstone trigger will not end up being much cheaper in the end. Did the RRA trigger parts come with a good installation instruction sheet that you could scan and share by any chance?

being to cheep to spend 100.00 + on a trigger i ordered the jp reduced power ar-15 trigger spring set 10 and shipping from brownells . used only the main trigger spring from the set.... pulls like warm butter. if creep is an issue use a 1/4x28 set screw in the location under the handle BE CAREFULL

std disclaimer as per shaggy: IT WASN'T me!!!

I just got an e-mail from Brimstone saying they will be shipping my new trigger parts tomorrow. Once they arrive I will provide a report and a link to the new YouTube video they have created.

Trigger installed

I just received the Brimstone AR trigger kit in the mail yesterday. They have a great youtube video showing how to install the parts.

It took me about 25 minutes to do the install. The one minor glitch is that the S&W plastic selector switch detent pin does not work with the new metal selector switch. It provides friction to hold the selector switch in place, but does not "click" into place as it should (I see the pins available from Brownells for $1.55).

The new trigger is a huge improvement over the stock trigger. No creep, no gritty feel, and a nice crisp and light break. Highly recommended, but be sure to get a new AR selector switch detent pin, you will also need some blue locktite (not supplied).
