Hey Guys

So I have a M&P 22 pistol that works fine normally (around 500 shots through it now) but yesterday at the range she behaved funny

Weather at the range was sunny, but -5 if that makes a difference, shooting bulk 555.

So the first 3 magazines ran though fine, but then it started to not extract the first 2-3 rounds each magazine. After looking at it with my buddy at the range, it was clear that it was FTE's, as it would sometimes only go half the distance required to eject, other times it would move maybe a 1/4-1/2 an inch at the most.

What could be the cause of that and how could I remedy it?

Alot of the MP 22's/GSG's can be fussy with bulk.

Have you cleaned it since the last outing ?

Bulk has a tendency to dirty up a gun faster than the higher end/premium stuff most of the time.

My first guess would be dirt. After that I'd give it a very light touch of lube on the rails and barrel. Brush the mag to, you might have a buildup of grit or crud that's causing the first rounds to bind when full. Test it with only 5 to see how it runs.
