S&W M&P 9 follower issue.

Hmm... Weird for an M&P to do that. The follow isn't holding the mag when you eject it so that's another problem... Maybe a bad run of mags??? Buy some more extras. Mine doesn't have that problem. Weird...

Smith had a bad run of followers - you have a couple of choices. 1) call a warranty center (Wortners or Murray Charlton) explain the problem, they'll either have stock and send them, or not. 2) go to www dot brownells dot com and order some new followers. Brownells tends to be quicker and in-stock, but you never know your luck.

Bad run of followers, disappointing S&W QC. I had two out of six that had the same problem.

Easy fix though: That shelf on the follower that activates the lobe on the slide stop? Just file it down.

There's a fancy fix on youtube where you dremel out a shelf, but I found that you can actually just file the entire surface down nice and square until you get better engagement. You can actually do it without even disassembling the mag.

I did this for one of mine, works great now and took all of 30 seconds with a file!

Well S#!t, That worked like a dream.
Too bad I already ordered em. This could have saved me $8 had I known a few hours ago.
Sweet though. I'm almost embarrassed I didn't just think to do it right off the bat.

Thanks.

I didn't think of it either, had to be told. :)

Spares are good. You'll use them eventually.
