S&W M&P 9 vs Glock 17 3rd gen vs Glock 17 4th gen

Unfortunately, I don't know anybody who's into guns, and there's no where to rent, or try, or really even really buy guns in my town, so I'm looking based up past experience shooting a Glock 17, and an M&P9 in Seattle a year ago. I know, I know...that's kinda like shooting blind...(Sorry, bad pun)...but that's pretty much the options I'm left with. I most likely will go with the M&P, as I remember liking the way that one felt in my hand. My purchase will most certainly be online. Can someone point me to the "cheapest" source for S&W M&P's online?

Thanks again everyone.

Okay okay I can respect that for sure. I'm going to assume your fairly new to the handgun thing, hey everybody was once right! Also i could be wrong in this assumption i dunno. You know what tho, just get whichever one you like more, even if your basing it 100% on looks at this point. It sounds as if you are leaning towards the M&P9 so get it! You know what man if you don't like it in the end you can trade it for a Glock, or a Sig or whatever down the road. I have an M&P, it's a great looking gun, feels great shoots great, great price.....

As far as cheap online purchases i can't help you man sorry. My M&P9 brand new was like $650+tax from a dealer ballpark. I'm sure costs everywhere vary, that's just a ballpark.

Good on ya for doing some research for helping you select a decent handgun man. There's a point tho where ya just gotta jump in the drivers seat and do it up. You'll live and learn, make a mistake or two and go from there. Obviously your on the right track poking around for advice etc mistakes will be minor and you'll go from there, and a few months down the road you'll be sharing advice and personal experiences with other shooters, both newbies and vets!

Anyway best of luck man!!
