S&W M&P 9 vs. Glock 17

I have both and only shoot the M&P9 now. But it is simply because I think it is cooler. They both punch holes in paper just fine.

Oh and my trigger on my M&P is just fine thank you.

I'll have to look into the Apex trigger upgrade? Is it an easy do-it-yourself project? I'm no gunsmith.

I did it myself, everything was new so it took a lot of pounding to get the new trigger parts in. I look forward to not doing it again. Definitely doable though.

I bet. I didn't like the one on mine, it was the Michigan model from IRG. The stock trigger is 10lbs on that model. Reduced it to a clean 4lbs with a short reset.

Having shot both I own m&p in .40. For me it felt less like a brick and has superior ergos, most importantly I seem to shoot them better. For me the results wereon paper and how it felt in my hand. I would have no problem trusting my life to either...

There needs to be an "on the fence" voting option. I have an MP, and have used several Glocks and like them. If they both feel comfortable to you then it would be a choice of cost for me.
