Anyone wanting it done can get ahold of me by pm.

I finally got a chance to shoot the pistol & break it in.

Went through 200 rounds with not a single problem.

After shooting a .45ACP, there is no recoil/muzzle flip!!!!:D

The Novak 3-Dot sight were easy to pick up, but the rounds were hitting low and a bit left, so next time out I will have to adjust the sights.I was just testing for function this timw around.

I also added some grip tape to the front and back of the grip, alone with a section of grip tap on the right side grip. This made the pistol feel very secure in my hand.

I could easily reached the mag release without shifting my grip too much.

SO far I like it!!!!!!!! A nice light easy to shoot pistol.

SKBY.

I only shot my M&P9 once as well and got the same result (for the most part), but I'm sure I just need to get used to the trigger; because when I made a conscience effort to not move the trigger to the left as I was pulling it; it shot where it's supposed to ;) it's all about the trigger control....

I've put 75 rounds through mine, one range session and was shooting left too. My sights look to be aligned, so I'll say it is me.

Will get more trigger time this weekend I hope.

I do find the recoil substantially more than a 9mm SP01. 40 oz vs. 26 oz, and a bigger caliber to boot, but I need a lot more practise with it.

Got to handle one for the first time today - WOW. This is one of the nicest handling pistols out there. If I was Glock, I'd be sweating. Sweet trigger too!

Now that should be available as an option. How's the glare in sunlight, Longshot?

Oh, Rob, I'd be willing tot ake a couple of .40 mags. M&P40 is my next handgun purchase :D

I have a couple guys in the USA willing to pin mags for us, and send them to us. What we are working on right now is finding out if CBSA will let mags that are rivetted in or not.
Once we get some replies on that I'll post the info on the buy. we will need to order at least 40 though, to make it worthwhile.
Hook me up brother ;) . I'd love to get 6 in 9mm.

Finally got mine out to the range. Only put 100 rounds through her.
- Flawless function even when I tried to limp wrist it to get a ftf/fte. Couldn't be done without me actually dropping the gun.
- I went with the thin grip insert and it felt pretty good. I will try again with the thick to see if the groups tighten up a bit.
- I don't like the sights and will be swaping out the rear ASAP. Anyone know the measurements on the rear notch and were I can find a wider one w/ no dots?
- I was shooting about an inch low and about 3-4 inches left at 10 yards. I usually shoot to the left with new pistols and have to adjust accordingly, hopefully some new sights (with a better sight picture) and some more familiarity with a few hundred more rounds will move the shots up a bit.
- The slide lock is right under my thumb so I was having some lockback issues. May have to make some grip adjustments too. D'oh.
- I love this gun. Very comfortable and there seems to be a bit less recoil than some other 9mm but it is sort of hard to tell with 9mm.
- Doesn't break my heart that I sold my Glock ;)

are you nuts? :p the Novak sights are one of the best features in the gun. I LOVE them!!! In fact I'm thinking of having them installed on my Sig.

Hi! Does anyone knows where I can find a holster for mine . I pass the last 4 days to look for one , but it seem that I does'nt have luck, and it's the only thing that miss to go take my black badge course.

Thanks

Thanks for the great review .. I decided to pick one of these up as my first handgun.

Newb question: the M&P is striker fire action ... couldn't find a definite answer on what this is. I know it's hammerless ... but is it DAO or DA/SA ?

rob

The trigger pull does not change from shot to shot. Most people would call it a DAO - technically it's not but you're pretty safe calling it that.
