S&w M&P 9mm

Buy the range and carry kit. Totally worth the extra cheese. I bought the regular kit and cringed when I realized one mag alone was 50$.

The kit comes with 3 mags, Bladetech holster, mag pouches and a mag loader!! Arg, live and learn.

Im getting the kit, I have heard nothing but good things about it, they have plenty of review videos take a look

Great gun, had it for over a year. Fits great in the hand, aims up well, easy to change mags, strip, and clean. Its also one of the smallest framed, lightest 9mm's on the market. I reccomend it to everyone I know who's considering getting a handgun. There's some good advice here to get the range kit, its a good deal.

I shoot in competitions with a MP .45, my friend recently got into shooting target sports as well, recommended the M and p to him, he tried it the beretta and a glock I think, went with the M and p like a lot of people since it had the different sized backstraps so it fits more peoples hands better.

he feels he got a good deal with the kit, since he got the 9mm, 3 mags, mag+pistol holster, gun case, with it for about 600$ and change.

I sometimes wish I had the 9mm instead of the .45 for ammo costs :p

they are reliable as anything, mine has well over 4k through it, not a SINGLE mis fire of any kind. his runs flawlessly as well

very accurate gun as well, the .45 version has a very heavy trigger though, the 9mm not so much, but it isnt super light either since this is a military/police model.

a $60-$90 apex sear can fix that if you need something lighter. I also found this gun very easy to disassemble for cleaning, as well as installing the apex kit myself.

when I was choosing it was between this gun, various 1911's (STI, para, sam, remmington) the Springfield xd, and the glock

Excellent, thanks for the good info. It seems to be the best gun for the dollar

If you watch the Apex installation videos, you'll learn 90% of what you need to know to completely strip the M&P - and enough to fix anything that might ordianarily wear in use.

thanks for the advice on this, I'm going to check this out. I shoot this more than my other guns and was thinking about some minor tweaks to improve performace. Any other ideas ? I'm also thinking about getting some different sights, maybe luminous.

The M&P Carry and Range Kit is the best deal out there right now. You get a lot for a few $$ more.

X 2. I bought an M&P and then assembled the rest before these kits were available and it cost me a lot more. I sold the M&P and replaced it with an M&P Pro, but there is nothing wrong with the M&P, especially since S&W removed the magazine disconnect on these.

AHHHH! The 666th post!

on a side note, brownells hass both the apex trigger or sear kit, and you can get tritium or fibre optic sights (I went with fibre optic)

or buy the edition that comes with these pre installed.

you wont be able to get the front sight in or out with out a good press, so you need a good tool shop or 50$ and a gunsmith

just finished a steel challenge today with the m and p 45, in the rain no less.... again this gun ran like a champ, I noticed a LOT more m and ps at the shoot today as well, people are starting to catch on how awesome a gun, especially at the price point, this is.

if you do get the 9mm just make sure you get the FACTORY 10 round mags with the plastic bottom, NOT the pinned ones,
