S&W M&P competition trigger and parts

The RAM comment. the 147 gr comment or the 100' ejection comment? I assume all three.

RAM comment is personal experience. 147gr comment is hearsay. 100' ejection comment is [failed] humorous exaggeration for effect to point out that the gun, if running properly, has a very consistent and long distance ejection pattern.

Good to know! I am getting mine on wednesday!

Good stuff! It took me longer than I would have liked to work out the trigger pull. For some reason, when I first got it I shot it much less accurately than either a Glock or a 1911, but it's fine now (~1500rds). Recent production seems to have eliminated the accuracy issues for some guns that was widely reported on the interweb.

From a functional standpoint, there is nothing wrong with "healthy" ejection! :)

I didn't mean that there is. But [again from hearsay] I heard that people have ejection problems with lighter weight/charge ammo in the M&P9, which to me suggests that it just not optimized to run 9mm, because ejection is one thing my M&P40 leaves zero doubt about. I've had people 6 benches over complain about brass showers. I bet I could put a medium sized bucket in one spot and it would catch most of my brass.

Quit relying on here say and rely more on what you see. My two M&P nines have never had an ejection problem with even the lightest loads. If your brass is flying all over the place you are either in need of a new recoil spring or you are shooting very heavy loads. My 40`s don`t eject the brass any further than my nines do at the same power factor.

You seem to be hung up on the fact the M&P was designed first to withstand the .40 cal. So what the only difference is the barrel. The accuracy complaints in some of the 9MM guns seemed to revolve around barrel lock up from a batch of barrels. I do know the rate of twist has now been changed to 1 -10 which is more in line with other 9mm guns coming out of Europe. That aside there isn`t a dimes difference in accuracy potential in any of my M&P`s. Accuracy seems to depend more on me then the gun but that may just be a rumour.

I've been fairly low down the powder scale with my 9 - no issues, but then I haven't changed my recoil spring in 20K (no issues with "over" ejection though either - even with 1967 CF Surplus).
