Hello blaxsun,
Well, it's similar to that, yes. The
M&P15-22 MOE version (Model #811034) has some additional features that your tricked out Standard edition (Model #811030) does not have, namely the ambi sling attachment point on the lower and a threaded bbl with muzzle device attached. It has a MOE stock and grip of course (hence the name), whereas you have the CTR/MIAD installed.
The MOE version would also ship with the newer-generation magazines, while I notice that the one you have pictured appears to be a first gen.
Those are some of the obvious differences, although there are others. But of course, if someone doesn't want to wait around for the MOE to be released, you could outfit a Standard version as you have done.
The point of this thread and what I was looking for was an indication, likely from a dealer or distributor, that the MOE version will be imported and when. As was mentioned above (thanks
CdnCombatMedic), the MOE version does have US State Dept. restricted features, but they may be lenient on that due to that fact it is not in a so-called 'military', centerfire calibre.
Thank you,
TR1
