S&W M&P9 question.

With my Sig P226, just pressing the slide release button will automatically bring the slide forward. I also tried a M&P9 (possibly older model) at the range and it worked at the range without having to manually pull back on the slide a bit. Is this normal?

That's the new springs, it'll ease in with use.
