My uncle wants to sell his M&P9 (9mm). Comes with everything as it did when purchased.
Its like new, about 4 clips through it. He bought it for the wife for self defense, but she was scared of the recoil.

So what are they worth new, and what would this one be worth?

I believe new they go for between $600-$650 as for a selling price I would say start by knocking $50-$75 off the purchase price and have the buyer pay shipping. With only approx 40 rounds down the tub the gun is still in new condition but as it has been fired I don't think your going to find anybody who is going to pay top dollar for a pistol that is as easily found as the M&P.

Being a polymer pistol the recoil is a bit "snappier" than others.
I believe Federal offers a "reduced recoil" series of ammo for those who are recoil sensitive.

You will probably only get $550 for the pistol; too bad as it is an excellent firearm. I have it in .40 S&W and have trained extensively with it.

I would try a box of low recoil before taking a loss on the pistol.

I agree, $550 shipped. I have seen some ask $650 for a used M&P when you can buy them for $620 at the store and others start asking $500.

"self defence in Canada" ?

otherwise great gun.

I live in Alberta, nuff said? R:d:

While learning it she had a accidental discharge while not fully understanding that a semiauto is ready to fire right after every shot.
My uncle convinced her to try a revolver and she is doing great with it.

I will let him know he can get around 500-$550 idea, thanks for the responses guys!

Now I have not sold or bought anything on the EE, and my aunt and uncle are not exactly the computer friendly generation, ya know?
So is it basically
Put add up
Someone wants it
Exchange each others info
buyer sends money (money order would be the best non computer method?)
Once money received, start transfer.
Once transfer is completed, get att to take it to the post office
?

The end of that list sounds about right?

Thanks guys
Rob
