S+w m1006

Had one, and while I sometimes regret selling it in hindsight, I then snap back to reality as I remember the Glock 20 is a superior pistol, with readily available parts and mags and always went to the range over the Smith.
Great as part of a collection, not so much as a shooter these days, sadly.

I can see your point. I personally have never been a fan of striker fired triggers and the colt delta elite does not hold up to full power loads (depending on the specific generation/model I think). I have always liked the Steel Framed Smith's. How was the recoil on the glock with full power loads? I would imagine it would be fairly stout vs the Smith.

full power 10mm loads are stout in anything, obviously, but the Glocks have great ability to soak up recoil. I think it is partly due to the bore axis, the angle of the grip and quite possibly the polymer frame too, but certainly the G20 offers no more perceived recoil than that of a steel framed gun like the 1911 or Sig 220

That is a good point for sure. I found the 220 and 1006 are not that soft shooting despite the weight, likely because of the bore axis. Certainly no better than a 1911 maybe worse. The CZ design of the Tanfoglio handles 10mm recoil much better. I'm normally not a fan of rubber grips on autos but the Hogue rubbers on the 1006 make a big difference in compensating imo.

Seems I found a NEW IN BOX S&W 1076 10mm FBI. They are the 4.25in barrel but same 9+1 Capacity with the sig style frame mounted deckocker instead of the slide mounted. It was not cheap but not outrageous since the one that sold recently on the EE is not far off what mine will be. I would have preferred the 1006 since it was 5in but this being the fairly interesting since it was the FBI model.

He said he has a few others he would consider parting ways with as well that are new in the box.

I had a 1066 back in the day with the factory nite sites.

Very accurate & surprisingly the trigger on mine wasn't too bad, either.
