I recently picked up a Smith and Wesson Model 14 revolver in good to excellent condition, with non-original grips, but need some help identifying it.
Serial number is located both on the butt of the gun and on the centre of the frame where it can be seen when the cylinder is tilted down.
Single letter "K" starts off the six digit serial number "K366###".
Below the serial number on the frame, it says "Mod-14", there are no further dashes.
Cylinder has non-recessed chambers.
Any idea what year this could have been manufactured or what model number (i.e. 14-1, 14-2, etc.) it is? Any guesstimates on value?
I can post some photos later, if that will help?
