S&W Model 15 12-6 price check

I bought one off the EE last week for $250. It, and another very similar one, were listed at $300, and I was hemming and hawing. Then one guy dropped his price $50, and I jumped on it. Described as near mint condition.

4 inches, 2 inches, nickel, blue. They are not really gun people rush for,but ,as usual, if they are scarce or rare, can bring a bit more. But 250/300 range is a good range.

Gunnar have one for $299 for a while and doesn't seem to sell fast.

Two hundred is nice.

The Prohibited class of firearms, especially for handguns, has no new members coming into the class. Hence, owners and sellers of prohibited class handguns have a limited market. Consequently, the prices must drop since the value that was there or is there [unless special circumstances are present, like 4 inch Pythons] has been artificially destroyed.
A big clue to this drop in value is the number of sellers with such guns with multiple BTT's in their ads. They just don't want to realize the value is gone or are very hopeful. Sellers in the prohibited group will eventually realize this and price their guns accordingly. Or not, and see no movement on the sale.
A very flourishing market in prohibited handguns should be in the C$100.00 to C$300.00 range. The median being C$200.00 for a nice gun. But, getting back to your question, a very nice S&W model 15 is worth C$200.00.
