If you want a .22 revolver, yes that one is desirable.
I think I gave $600 for mine, perhaps $650, a few years ago. I thought I did well at that, wouldn't be surprised to get $750-800 now but have no intention of trying.
I bought my Model 17 in 1978, $195 brand new, and my executors will have to make the decision to sell. Compared to the newer revolvers on the market I think one in excellent condition would be worth every penny of the range mentioned.
Condition matters and the older ones sometimes seem to command a bit higher price but I'd agree with 750+/- as the ballpark. I have a 1948 K-22 that is firmly on my "do not sell" list.
NB The older ones also have more value if they still have the original box and papers
