Anybody else shoot one of these?

Haven't shot mine in awhile. Always a real converstion starter at the range as it is a really slick looking firearm since it has so many unique features.

.45 cal. Model of 1989 (.45 Colt). Only 2,000 made. 5" barrel, unfluted cylinder, midnight black, laser engraved, wide hammer and trigger, Baugham quick draw front ramp, S&W adjustable rear sight, Hogue grips.

i Had one for a while, but as life goes, some other toy to finance.I change the serrated trigger for a smooth one and I found some service grip for it and a tyler T grip, was easier to hold this way for me. they are good shooter, accurate, but dont load heavy load with them, Smith 45 colt are best kept at original 45 colt pressure. So any load that will do in a Colt SAA will do in yours Smith.

As you say they are conversation starter, but some love them , other simply hate them, cos of the glass bead finish. There was one in the EE last month that goes for $1100.00, sell fast, I think about getting it, but price was too steep for me at this moment.

Enjoy

brutforc, I owned one and I sold it to a friend for twice what I paid for it. I gave $300 and I didn't want to sell it until the friend doubled what I paid for it. I shot an honest 1/2" group at 25 yards with this particular handgun and that is the best I have ever shot. I do not know if other 25-7s are capable of the same accuracy. Regards, Richard:D
