S&W Model 27?

Hey there, I am interested in knowing what the price for one of these revolvers would be? A pre lock pre mim one in good condition. Do they come around often for sale here? Thanks.

I've seen them from 800 to almost 3k for a pre 27. You don't see too many around. The 28 is the enthusiastic plain looking sister.

It depends on barrel length too it took me about 2 months on the EE to find a nice 5 inch and a reasonable price. A 6 inch one generally around 1000.

He said pre-lock and pre-MIM parts, not Pre-27/Registered Magnum.

When I was shopping recently for a pre lock 27 the asks were in the 1050 to 1250 range on the ones I found. They aren't common but they are out there. Just keep an eye on the EE ( or you could post a WTB ad ...that worked for me)

Probably half that (or less) if it is 10(6) = 3 1/2 or 4 inch barrel.

sigh, to clarify, I've seen them (Model 27's pre lock, pre mim) from 800 to almost 3k for a pre 27 (the forerunner to the actual model 27)
I worded it this way to give the owner some idea of what the price spread might be. We OK now Max?

One main factor on price is "CONDITION" of a piece. A NIB unit could be several times the cost of a good shooter grade fyi.
